steps up into her world for a moment. For amidst quiet tones of mint
and cream the Massive, Paul Bunyan, king size bed makes a powerful and
unforgettable impression that will make you a storyteller for years to
come. Other compliments of this handsome room include an antique Empire
chest, very tall bed stands, mahogany drop-leaf writing table, a comfortable
wing chair and additional seating. Where wishes and sweet dreams
might just come true!

The Mendenhall Bath:
Adjoining the Mendenhall is the spacious and cheerful private bath
suite featuring a lovely Victorian wicker sofa, wicker table, antique dry
sink with plumbing, and a step up cast iron tub with shower. Mint
and pale yellow accent colors cast a golden glow in this sun filled room
where an assortment of bath amenities for both men and women are always
available.
The
Abigail Platt Room:
Peace and calm instantly settles guests into this charming queen room,
privately located in its own wing, with back or main staircase access.
Surrounded by very subtle floral wall covering, 19th century English birdseye
maple furnishings, and a tufted antique settee tucked away in a small alcove,
the Abigail Platt is the perfect atmosphere to quiet the mind or contemplate
the future while reflecting on the past. Sleep well and pleasant dreams!

The Abigail Platt Bath:
This extra large bath (16 feet in length), featuring an antique claw-footed
soaking tub with shower, an old oak chest with drop in sink, and a long
wooden *pull on your socks* bench definitely captures the essence
of Old World charm. Guests are welcome to a variety of bath notions,
for both men and women, where, by candlelight, they can soak all their
worries away.
The Maria Hoopes Room:
This lovely, soft toned, queen room with four-poster cherry bed and
large dresser features a corner fireplace, and upholstered Eastlake settee
and chair. Accented by an antique hand tatted coverlet, a hand made
quilt, and a gift collection of miniature porcelain dolls the Maria Hoopes
Room is certain to lull you into a peaceful state of mind. The bath,
described below, is just one step from your bedroom door.

The Joseph Baugh Room:
A wonderful view of the stone bank barn and tall pines welcomes guests
into this queen room, where rich tones of gray and cream compliment the
Seafarers theme. Centuries-old-chestnut planks the corner fireplace and
lower walls, and the iron sleigh bed, antique cottage dresser, and comfortable
seating are just perfect for this handsome retreat. The bath, described
below, is about ten feet down the hall.

The
Hall Bath:
This large bath beautifully decorated in warm shades of navy and golden
yellow features a Jacuzzi tub with shower, an antique Hoosier cabinet with
drop in sink, and a comfy *pull on your socks * wing chair. Guests
are welcome to a variety of bath notions, for both men and women. But,
no bubble bath if you’re using the Jacuzzi. This bath may be booked
as a private bath for either the Hoopes or Baugh Room, or it can be booked
as a shared bath.
Rates are subject to change without notice.
Reservations lasting longer than seven nights; rooms booked with
a shared bath; or rooms booked with a self-serve breakfast will receive
an additional discount determined by the innkeepers.
Inquiries regarding special discounts for longer stays with self-serve
or full course breakfasts are welcome.
All prices listed include a full-course candlelight breakfast and
are subject to a 6% PA sales tax, plus a 2% County hotel tax.
